Message from Bryn-
Menopolooza: Who are we and what are we doing here anyways?
Welcome to Menopolooza!
A warm welcome from the gorgeous and wonderful JVN!
We were the feral, Latch Key Kids of the '80s, raised on TV, microwave burritos, and pure unsupervised chaos.
We figured out maxi pads with the adhesive stuck to the wrong side of our underwear. We stole our older sister’s Tampax because we were going swimming AND horseback riding, thank you very much. We got our sex ed from a combo of Judy Blume books and The Golden Girls.
Now here we are- middle-aged, magnificent, and careening through perimenopause with the same level of adult supervision we had in junior high: absolutely none.
Our hormones are flipping desks like that one unhinged sixth-grade teacher. We’re hot, we’re exhausted, and we’re pretty sure we just cried at a Subaru commercial. Again.
Menopolooza is the rallying cry for Gen X women who’ve always had to figure it out alone, our message is: we are not alone and we’re not going to take it, anymore.
Why You Should Come
Because this is the event we all wish had existed before things started going sideways.
Because women deserve better care, more accurate information, and a stronger sense of community.
Because menopause is not the end—it's the beginning of your next, most unapologetic chapter.
Because you’re not crazy, you’re hormonal—and that matters.
🌸 Why Menopolooza Is the Midlife Women’s Health Event You’ve Been Searching For
If you're in perimenopause or menopause and wondering where to turn for real answers and meaningful support, you're not alone — and you're not doing it wrong.
Menopolooza is a two-day, in-person event in Victoria, BC, focused entirely on the health and empowerment of midlife women. This isn’t just another wellness weekend. It’s a powerful feminist response to the medical system’s failure to treat hormone transitions with the care and expertise they deserve.
🔥 What Is Menopolooza?
Menopolooza is a menopause and perimenopause conference where science meets sisterhood. You’ll hear from doctors, therapists, nutritionists, pelvic floor physios, sexperts, and other menopause-literate healthcare providers.
Whether you’re dealing with:
Brain fog and fatigue
Mood changes or midlife anxiety
Hot flashes, night sweats, or sleep disruptions
Painful sex, vaginal dryness, or pelvic floor issues
Weight gain or metabolic changes
Or just wondering WTF is going on with my body?
…You’ll find evidence-based information, relatable stories, and actual resources to take home.
🧠 Mental Health + Hormones: A Missing Link
One of Menopolooza’s core themes is the connection between mental health and menopause. Too many women are prescribed antidepressants without ever being told that hormonal shifts might be the real culprit.
Our speakers — including Dr. Tracy Rodgers, a menopause-expert OB/GYN — will address:
The overprescription of SSRIs
The role of estrogen in brain health
Self-compassion as a tool for nervous system regulation
Safer, more effective ways to treat mood, sleep, and cognition changes in midlife
She will also likely make you laugh, cry and maybe pee your pants a little (we have liners on standby)
🩺 Who Should Come?
This summit is for anyone who works with or is experiencing perimenopause or menopause — including:
Women 35+ who want to understand what’s coming
Caregivers and wellness seekers who are ready to stop Googling and start healing
Healthcare providers (counsellors, RMTs, NDs, pelvic physios, nutritionists, MDs) who want CEUs and better ways to support clients
Anyone who believes that women’s health deserves better
